Chocolate is abundant in an office full of creative women. We love to discuss new chocolates or new (guilt-free) ways of eating it! Pinterest is the holy grail of finding easy and delicious new recipes. These Truffles are to die for!

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • Five strips 1-inch-wide orange peel, pith removed
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup sifted cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped assorted nuts, such as walnuts, pecans, and pistachios

Transfer baking pan to freezer; chill chocolate until hardened but malleable, 15 to 20 minutes.  Using a tablespoon, scrape enough chocolate from pan to form a roughly shaped 1-inch ball, being careful not to press too hard against baking pan. Repeat. Transfer balls to the parchment-lined pan; chill truffles in the refrigerator 10 minutes.
  •  Place the confectioners' sugar, the cocoa powder, and the chopped nuts in three separate bowls. Roll the truffles in desired coatings.

Let's Be Mermaids May 21 2014

As the summer solstice quickly approaches, it has us dreaming about long sunny days at the beach. Summer is the time to relax, let loose and of course spend time soaking up the sun! Lately mermaids have been really popular in social media like Pinterest and Instagram and boy have they had us swooning. For summer we are pulling inspiration from this trend and saying "let's be mermaids." This mermaid craze has allowed us to revisit our childhoods and is a reminder of how much we really do want to be Ariel (but maybe in a more grown up way). Really, who doesn't want those long luscious locks, cool seashell bras and to be able to swim with dolphins all day?
Anyway, with the San Jose sandals, the look of the glam straps (and Malibu Jane logo) give you some of those cool mermaid vibes that we all wish we had! They'll be a perfect addition to any beach babes summer wardrobe!
